Most of these sequences will not be found in the databanks (gb,embl,dbj)  We only sequence interesting strains, when we have a problem, or for reasons of quality control of fastidious organisms.  It is convenient to be able to send these sequences to BLASTN when the taxonomy changes, and through the links to Entrez it is possible to have instant access to valuable information. It is possible to use the option '1000' and the wildcard '*' if you wish to quickly browse through the database.
